Hey, its my opinion. The game just has a lot more going for it then 3 ever did. 3 is the most overrated game of all time.

Super Mario World is possibly my favorite game ever. Mario 3 is almost as good.

Mario 3 is only held at a higher regard because when it came out it blew people away. Remeber that movie The Wizard? Where the premiere Mario 3 at the videogame tournament? It was like "omfg mario3!!! I r teh pwned" Although, if you put the games side by side, I think Super Mario World was better. There's no denying Yoshi was the shit.

Mario 3 kicked major ass, but Super Mario World pwned it. I mean, you had Yoshi, the star road, the dual-exits in some levels that opened up secrets, and of course it was really fun.

Super Mario World was my first ever game and still my fucking favorite. THis is goingto sound weird, but I prefered SNES graphics to all of this new shit now. I dont know why. I love all the bright colours, and how it relates back to the fact a videogame is escapism.

Super Mario Bros 3 is extremely overrated. It is still on of the greatest games of all-time but Super Mario World is screaming with high quality.

I like Mario 3 better, and I really don't care that you like SMW better, but how can you say that Mario 3 is overrated? It's the top selling console game of all time.

Its overrated because SMW is obviously better. Whenever people say whats they best mario games they rarely ever mention SMW.

Because it's a matter of opinion! You say it like it's a fact. You can say SMW is the best one, but I happen to like Mario 3 better. You can't say a game is overrated because people's opinions differ from yours.

I'm old school and SMW is epitome of old school.

The gameplay elements presented in that game are a few steps above SMB3.


However, SMB3 was ahead of its time because of the drastic change from SMB2 to SMB3.
