Well I recently replaced my 1080p DLP Toshiba HDTV (resides in the guestroom now) out of the Master bedroom; with a Sony 60in SXRD 1080p. The Toshiba unit cant hold a candle to the deep blacks this unit can produce. Anyhow, here are some random pics with my backup camera (my Canon Rebel XTi is being repaired).

I will upload some comparison pics tomorrow (friendly competition pics) between the two game console games (VF5 Vs DOA4, Gears Vs R: FOM, GTHD demo Vs Forza 2 demo, and much more).

Well Im allowing it as the comparison of the two consoles is and always will be inevitable that and I like Nerves TV.


Nerve if anything keep it "fair".
But anyways have fun. I may have some to throw in when I get my camera back.


And once again nice tv Nerve (I had it in the house for a few days prior to buying mine, is that the SXRD2?? or the SXRD??).

Since you peeps are discussing tvs sorta. Whats a good 1080p tv in the 42" range?

On the PS3 pic the camera is further away from the TV...

And how come the Gears pic is so blurry?

Well what is your price point and what tv tech. are you interested in or prefer.

Well for price range lets say 1500-3000$. Tech probablly LCD/Plasma. Whatever has better quality for the price. Unless there is something better. I am no expert on the higher end tv's since they were always out of my price range.

It just happend to be the angle and spot I was at...thats it.

He's taking a pic with a camera, and there are lots of bright spots, that spells bad news for any digital camera to take a pic. Cameras have a hard time focusing because of the arrangement and intensity of the light. If the focus is on the light, the light will be a little less bright, but then all the colour from everywhere else will lose lots of saturation and get kind of muddy. If you focus on the less bright spots, a better image would be produced, but the problem here is that there is bloom and bright spots all over the place so it's hard for the camera to focus.

If you look in the GT HD pic, you can see the light from the background is so bright that it overwhelms the camera and it the white makes itself continuous with the hood of the car, so you can't see the hood of the car at all or a line that bounds it.

Go with LCOS based technology HDTV’s (Sony version of it is SXRD). They produce deeper blacks than most DLP based projection TVs and it doesn’t have that rainbow wheel effect that DLP HDTV’s tend to exude. That’s the reason why the Toshiba is in the guestroom now…

when do the new SXRDs roll out? some time in June/July? i'm waiting for the new SXRD models then i'm going to take the plunge on a 60" model.
