So since someone on here got me interested in Eureka 7 I was looking up some stuff on them and found this video. It has some stuff about the dubbing of Eureka 7 (although I'm sure everyone prefers the subbed version) and I recgonized the name..... then he started talking and I was like... IT'S ICHIGO!!!! So yea, it's weird to hear the same voice playing different characters when it's a voice you (as in me) just typically associate with Ichigo ya know?.. just an interesting tidbit.

Haha, I had no idea he did voice acting aswell... I thought his voice for DMC4 was going to be his first one (he's either Dante or Nero)...

Only DBZ, Gundam Wing, and Inuyasha got the english voice cast spot on. Those are the only examples I can think of where its hard to choose between sub and dub. These are the few, the proud!

Now for bad... I accuse Naruto in dub form, which sounds like a fuckin trucker instead of a young kid. He sounds like hes been smoking too much as well...

Yeah he was. And he played Kaneda (main character) in the Akira dub, too.

This guy has done voices for like everything, including your mom. I mean I don't like most dubs, but I feel bad because these voice actors really do work hard..and then like everyone makes fun of them haha, oh well.

Because they just dont sound belivable. For me at least, Ichigo in sub sounds like a typical japanese kid compared to his english counterpart who sounds like hes boaderlining his early twenties.

Besides Ishida = Sasuke voice actor in japanese and I think hes great!

Yeah FMA had a great dub too..

I know everyone will hate me for this, but I perfer watching dubs.. Mainly cuz it is easier to understand everthing that is going on, and it leaves a better impression. And I hate fansubs with a passion, they are even worst than dubs. However, there is sometimes where a dub is beyond bearable, and that is probably when I switch over to sub (as long as it is the offical sub)... But the only anime I can remember doing this for is Weiss Kruz: Night Hunters.

Yeah, I agree. I have neither the time nor the patience to learn fluent Japanese and I usually don't feel like reading subtitles. There are exceptions to that though, like when the original Japanese voice acting is just miles better than the English dub (Advent Children, I'm looking at you).

I find often times the Japanese voices are extremely high and unattractive, however the English dubs tend to be over the top.

Then again, I barely watch anime.

Yeah youre right about that, ok add FMA to the list since I actually did enjoy that one as well. But the overall point is how rare you get a series with dubs that are good and even rarer a series with dubs = greater then subs.

Ah, so he's nero in DMC4. I can hear the trailer dialogue in my head. I messaged him back and forth on myspace a little bit. Took forever though, he's got like a bajillion 'friends'.
