Nintendo Expands American Headquarters
For Years Nintendo's Headquarters and Microsofts headquarters right down the street have been fighting over territory to expand their headquarters.

And awhile back Microsoft's plans were ended by Redmond Washington's City planning council. The council found that allowing Microsoft to expand would remove more opertunities for smaller buisnesses in the area to expand and also limit the ability for a competitor to arize.


But just barely Nintendo announced to Seattle times that it is in talks to expand its NOA redmond headquarters by 550,000 square feet. But because both Microsoft and Nintendo's headquarters are so close in proximity the area suffers from heavy traffic making getting around next to impossible.

So the Redmond City planners are negotiating that Nintendo open up a path through the middle of its facility enabling people to walk or bike through which could result in future bus routes ..Etc...

It seems that Nintendo and the City of Redmond have nearly come to some sort of agreement to expand the headquarters over the next ten years. This should remind everyone Nintendo has no intentions of getting shot down and building expansions usually mean staff expansions as well. So with building expansions and obvious staff expansions underway we should see more titles from our nabour to the south unless you are American!

I want to remind everyone that the image above sucks it was the only one of the headquarters I could find when I googled Nintendo Redmond other than one with some kids and another with a mail Man at least i think he was a mail man. Anyways the guy aboves name is Jeff and he works for Microsoft! Just goes to show you that when you cant reach your goal (Nintendo) your not a complete failure to settle for Microsoft!

Sorry Viper I was unaware that NNOw already reported on this, my sorces were Gamasutra and Gamesindustry.biz, the part about game advancements was simple speculation because when territory is expanded for buisnesses it often means more staff are required which often leads to more products Etc.... as far as I know NOA and NOC's offices still do translating of Japanese games dont they (Not completely sure) and deal with liscensing and publishing of third party and second party publishing which intern means more games. Whether they originated from Nintendo or were simply finsihed or cleared by Nintendo!
