AnimalCrossing Gates dissapearing (reported glitch)

Town Gates vapourizing

Just rescently a member of the Nintendo.com N-sider forums has announced he has experianced a glitch. The glitch he has experianced is a very bad and dangerous glitch if you want to keep your town online.

User Pinkybo says he got the glitch by Quote "When I started the game in the morning, I fell into a pitfall seed that someone (one of my friends visiting?) had planted in front of my gate. Later during the game I had my wifi open and the game crashed. When it restarted, the pitfall seed was back in the same spot since I hadn't saved since falling in. I opened my gates again and two people came to visit. At one point, guest 1 fell into the same pitfall seed I had fallen into only this time it took him a really long time to get out. There seemed to be a strange lag in the game just at that moment. After guest 1 got out of the hole, he left my town. Guest 2 and I left the gate area and came back to it a few minutes later. That's when I noticed the gate was missing. Guest 2 said he could still see the gate and so he went home. My gate has been gone since. According to the guy from Nintendo, the other person that this happened to also had a lag in time after falling into a pitfall seed in front of his gate before the gate disappeared. Also, the pitfall seed came back after he fell into it. "




He states that their has been one other case reported to Nintendo, to fix the glitch simply restart your game making a new town. Nintendo however wanted him to send his flash card in for examination. This means nintendo is already working on fixing this new glitch for everyone who already ownes AnimalCrossing the advice is to avoid placing or having someone else place Pitfalls within the sight of your gate house and if you restart and any type of lag is noted when someone falls in your pitfall dont save or let anyone leave simply shut the game off.

EDIT: WOAH! Wait a sec! Look at his date. 1/9. January 9th. This person probably time travled backwards and somehow started this glitch.

I think he might have time traveled, but I do it sometimes, and it doesn't do much to me.
