UBI EA Battle heats up again

Canada seems to be the battlefield for the future of game wars. As EAGames Canada attempts to dominate over Ubi-Soft Canada.

Awhile back EAGames tried to take over UbiSoft by acquiring massive amounts of its stock, UbiSoft asked all of its share holders to resist EA and waged a war over the stock market. In the end UbiSoft regained a large amount of its stock and remained an independent company.

EAGames then went on to bribing four of Ubi-Soft Canada's SplinterCell development team into leaving Ubi-Soft. The loss of these employees apparently slowed development and caused chaos. So UbiSoft brought EAGames to the court of a appeal in Quebec. The Quebec court found EA in the wrong and put an order on that for an amount of time after a person left UbiSoft they could not be hired.

Well EA Montreal head Alain Tascan decided he was going to break these terms."As you know, the judgment of the Court of Appeal in our last dispute was on an interim basis only and did not decide this issue on the merits. We therefore do not consider it as the final word on this matter."

EAGames Head hired an employee of UbiSoft, taking a shot at UbiSoft's staff and user base here in Canada. For some reason I think UbiSoft
might just be a little mad:realmad

So while UbiSoft continues to defend its unrivaled domination of Canada's game industry watch out for a retaliation on behalf of UbiSoft Montreal!

God I hate EA. Although those developers should be smart enough to resist EA.

Many many people hate EA yet their games are multi-million sellers month after month, looking at the charts there is at least 1 EA game there NO MATTER WHAT!?

Thought I'm proud to say that the only EA game I own is NF2 for PC way back in like 98 99?

Also on the teamxbox boards someone brought up that EA bougth the exclussive rights to Nascar and Daytona International. Which thay said was the reason why sega may not be able to bring over Daytona USA 1 and D USA 2 battle on the edge to Xbox live Arcade

Im glad to say they are taking financial blows. I dont want to see EAGames get crushed (Bankrupt) I want to see them brought back to a minority.

EAGames currently makes over 1-billion dollars a year which intern means that EAGames controlls one 8th of the entire Gaming market.

With the game industry at an estimated 8-billion a year buisness.
