EAGames takes financial Blow!

EAGames Hits A Snag

EAGames has reported its financial situation. EAGames announced that its profits have fallen by 11% this announcement was made following the grim announcement that EAGames was letting go at around 300 employees world wide. The lay-off of 5% of its global employees is alarming to the remainder of the employees still employed.

EAGames said Larry Probst "We ended 2005 in a very strong competitive position," and "Our resources will be focused on next-generation software and the global expansion of our online and mobile businesses."

Many are blaming poor X-360 sales and the transfer from current gen to next gen as a reason for EA's financial situation. EAGames is expected to make a full recovery in 2007.
