Nintendo At D.I.C.E (DS related)
Nintendo today in their press release at D.I.C.E announced some very large news about the Nintendo DS. The Nintendo DS will be capable of voice chat with the first game to utilize it being MetroidPrime:Hunters, DS owners will be able to download small games for free at retailers and Nintendo announced the new model of Nintendo DS the DS Lite for American audiences. On March 20th with the release of MetroidPrime:Hunters the Nintendo DS will have a new feature. Voice chat will become a new part of the Nintendo Wifi service. When getting ready to have a battle with someone on your friends list in MetroidPrime you can press a mic button enabling you to chat with him deciding settings and after the match to gloat about your victory. Gamers are upset that you can't chat mid battle but before and after is a good start. Starting in march Nintendo will have download kiosks set up across North America these kiosks will enable gamers to download free bonus content for certain games as well as test out many of the newest games for free. Retailers will have these kiosks open for people to try out the newest games with the first set of demo's being of Tetris DS, Brain Age: Train Your Brain in Minutes a Day, Mario Kart DS, Meteos, True Swing Golf and Pokémon Trozei. The kiosks will also have some in game footage of MetroidPrime:Hunters. These download centers aim to please and I'm sure they will succeed. Nintendo DS Lite was announced about two weeks ago for Japanese release coming next month. Now the Nintendo DS Lite has officially been announced for American release. The Nintendo DS Lite is 20% lighter and two thirds the size of its original model the Nintendo DS. Nintendo announced that the release date would be announced in a different press release All in all D.I.C.E unveiled many new things about our beloved Nintendo DS! If there is a game after MPH that does include voice chat in-game, then there should be an option to switch voice chat on and off.

Yes. Since you can hear them before the actual game starts, you can tell if they are a prick and leave. And no BANNEDwidth is wasted with thier annoying voice durring the game!

^The original DS can handle this voice chat as well, they just mentioned stuff about the VC and Lite at the same time.

Even if only the DS.lite were capable of this (I know it's not), it would definately be worth buying.

Just kidding.. ..due to some complication with other obligations I wasn't able to post the news as soon as it arived in press release form.. *sigh*.. oh well..we go tit up shotly thereafter! anyway. I am so excited about voice chat... ...this is somthing that makes playing halo2 on live really fun! I dont really mind not being able to talk during he battles much....because I dont much anyway.

What about team games, it would have been great for that kind of stuff.
The only this game needs now is two player online co-op with voice chat and I'll orgasm like a mofo.
