Tecmo has a change of heart!
![]() Tecmo is a leading Japanese game developer best known for there DOA series. Tecmo created many games in the early 90's everything from Football to Ninja games. Tecmo began on the Nes and has since parted ways but will they be coming back. Tecmo in the early millennium announced that they would be siding with Microsoft's new X-Box console. The X-Box boasted the most power out of all of the systems at the time and Tecmo's Team Ninja didn't settle for any less then the best. Team Ninja is Tecmo's flagship having developed Ninja Gaiden and the DeadOrAlive series. Tecmo's relationship with Microsoft may have begun to weaken however when Microsoft showed X-360 at E3 2005. The X-360 is being viewed as least powerful. With statements from Team Ninja stating they didn't settle for any less then the best technology it seems Tecmo may be heading in a new direction. Just recently Tecmo announced it will be bringing a title to the Nintendo Revolution. The new game is not coming from the world famous Team Ninja but it is a very large respected franchise in Japan. The game is named Skatto Golf Pangya . The game should show Tecmo is no longer exclusively supporting Microsoft could this be the beginning of a new friendship? ![]() Ntreev is an up and comer as a game developer. Ntreev has already created to hits for the PC Trickster and Pangya. Ntreev based in Korea is working with Tecmo on bringing their big hit Pangya to consoles. The first large transition to console formats will come for the Revolution. As of now no american release info has been confirmed. So there you have it the company that swore loyalty to the X-Box seems to be on rocky ground and might just be heading for the new super power. It's a fight between innovation and software (NREV) versus pure adrenalin pumping graphics (PS3). Lets hope we see more of Tecmo on Revolution as we inch closer to E3 and the inevitable launch. |

Tecmo is not Team Ninja
So there you have it the company that swore loyalty to the X-Box seems to be on rocky ground and might just be heading for the new super power. Team Ninja swore loyalty to the xbox. Tecom has published more games on the PS2 than the Xbox. If Team Ninja is making this game then you would be correct everyone is quoting Team Ninja games yet from what I know they still have full 360 development with NG2 and DOA Code C. Peace ![]() basically you are all getting excited because when you hear Tecmo you think DOA and NG Team Ninja is still in bed with MS. Outlaw is correct Tecmo is just a publisher just like EA or UBI or Activision. Last edited by Freeman_JI; 02-17-2006 at 04:04 AM. |

Unless something like actually swinging the Revmote like a golf club I kind of don't care. It just sounds like releasing on the Rev because they think it will popular or they just made a game for the system because they can. It reminds me of those news where you see big companies going to actually make games on a Nintendo system. Namco working on the N64?! Oh wait it's an ok Ridge Racer game. Square working the GCN?! Oh it's Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicles and nothing else for the rest of the gen. Konami making MGS on the GCN and it's a remake of MGS?! Oh wait they gave MGS2, MGS3, and special version for the Xbox and even a port to the PC and no more MGS on the GCN.

Tecmo supported the PS2 a lot in the last gen as well...its only team ninja whom fully supported the xbox. Tecmo is supporting all next gen consoles.
