Andy Mckee
This guy is simply amazing. Like Justin King, save for less focus on the technical aspect and more about the actual sound and tone of the music. This particular track inspired me to take on a new style of acoustic playing. Since hearing it I have not been able to stop playing... I've almost got this one completely mastered, give another couple days or so and I'll have it down. It truly is a beautiful song... and a joy to play.

For those interested, the tuning is D-A-G-D-A-D from bottom up. I'll clue you in on the first part (after the little intro), hammer the top string on the 2nd fret with your left hand, then the G string on the 11th fret with your right. After that second note, slap the guitar with your left hand while simultaneously plucking the bottom string (open, not fretted anywhere) with your ring finger, then the B string with your middle finger. and then pull off of the G string that you tapped on the 11th fret to let that string ring open. Then slap the guitar again with your left hand.
From there, tap the 5th fret with your left hand (top string), then hammer on with your right at the 6th fret on the G string, immediately following with tapping the 5th fret on the b string (while slapping the guitar again with your left hand) and then pulling it off to let the string ring open, then do the same with the G string allowing it to ring open as well.
Those are just the first 2 movements in the song... from there you're on your own. I can't be bothered to type all that out!!!- George CarlinIt's called the American dream, because you have to be asleep to believe it.

A truly beautiful instrument. I want one badly now.
Check this cover of Africa...

I posted about Andy a few times myself. I love alternative guitar play styles.

I'll have my hands full for some time studying his style. This one song took 4 days to get down to playable form, and it still is a tad sloppy at points.

After spending some time studying this song, I've found a slightly more simplified way to play it (I picked it out by ear, and saw he was actually playing it a lot more efficiently... and I was off by a couple notes here and there). Rather than write it out, I'll make a short video explaining how to play this song's various parts. It's a great song to start on if you want to learn this style... but it's damn tricky.

I'm impressed with the first video.
I like it."It may be bigger than you and it may be bigger than me but, it’s not bigger than you and me! Can you dig it?"

He played in Canterbury about 3 months ago, but I didn't get the chance to see him
My friend went to see him, and said it was amazing.
